🎧Third-party Communication is Allowed

You ARE allowed to be in private Discord calls, phone calls, or any other external communication while playing in the city. We're not here to police how you stay connected with your friends.

However – and this is crucial:

All decisions about your character and their actions must be made and roleplayed in-city. Your character can only know what they've experienced, seen, or been told through roleplay. If you're not vocalizing your character's thoughts, plans, or actions within the game – especially when interacting with others – that's meta-gaming.

In simple terms: External calls are for OOC (out-of-character) chat. In-city voice is for IC (in-character) roleplay. Keep them separate.

Why We Allow External Communication:

We're being realistic and transparent here:

  1. You're going to do it anyway – we'd rather acknowledge it and set clear expectations than pretend it doesn't happen.

  2. It actually helps with roleplay – having a Discord call for OOC banter means you can keep all your out-of-character conversations separate from your in-city roleplay. No more breaking character to say "brb" or "lol that was crazy" in-game.

The key: Use external comms to enhance your roleplay by keeping OOC out of the city, not to gain unfair information or skip important roleplay moments.
