Respect for Community

Point Hope RP strives to be a place where likeminded players are able to tell their stories without the fear of it being like many other servers where RP takes a backseat. For that reason we ask that you always follow the below guidelines.

Respectful Communication on Official Platforms

Communications related to PHRP, both in-game or on official PHRP platforms, including streamer channels, must always be respectful. Refrain from sending angry or offensive messages resulting from in-game events or actions. We are all adults and we can communicate respectfully with one another.

In-Character Interaction:

We understand that in-character (IC) interactions can include trash talk and abrasive behavior as part of the role-playing experience. This is acceptable as long as it remains in character and does not target players out of character (OOC). Strong language may occur, and it will not be considered a rule break if you are offended by the words of someone else's character (as long as those words are directed at your character). If you are a streamer you can mark your stream as 18+, but we will not ask players to change their RP or speak in a way that caters to a particular players ideals, beliefs or streaming goals.

Any language that is against the TOS of Rockstar/FiveM, Twitch, Kick, YouTube, TikTok or other platforms will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Boundary Between IC and OOC:

Any behavior that crosses from in-character to out-of-character, especially if it becomes disrespectful or offensive, is not permissible. Maintaining this distinction is crucial to ensure that in-game dynamics do not lead to personal conflicts or breaches of our community standards. Always remember you are not your character, isolate the experience.

Private Interactions:

Direct messages (DMs) between individuals, if not involving official PHRP platforms, are generally beyond our scope of control, respecting your privacy in personal matters. However, extreme cases such as stalking or sexually explicit content, if reported and impacting in-city dynamics, will be addressed firmly.

Please understand we live in a world of AI and Deepfakes. All complaints will be handled with care and may take time to sort out. Do not expect or demand immediate resolution, always allow our team to thoroughly investigate. When dealing with a matter like this you must provide the staff working on it any and all information they request. Also understand that accusations of misconduct are not proof of misconduct.

If your screenshots, video clips or other supporting evidence includes nudity please take the time to blur out the nudity. Any submission containing nudity will be deleted. If your ticket contains anything illegal please take care in evaluating whether or not to send it. It may be more appropriate to contact your local Law Enforcement agency, and we may be obligated to contact ours if the content in your ticket warrants it.

Disputes with Staff:

If you disagree with a staff ruling, please address it constructively. Instead of direct confrontation, public crash outs, etc. please submit a ticket for a formal review of the issue. This approach promotes a more effective resolution process.

No Trolling:

Engaging in behavior intended to provoke or disturb players, members, police, staff, etc., under any circumstances, is strictly prohibited. See Trolling for more information.

Your commitment to these guidelines is essential. They are designed not only to maintain order but to enhance everyone's gaming experience.
