Cities often fail for one core reason, bad staff, nearly all of you can think back to a city where staff made playing unbearable. Roleplay is key to success in DRP and all staff need to make decisions based on the rule book and how roleplay is impacted. Remember people roleplay differently, just because their roleplay might be different from yours does not mean they are roleplaying incorrectly.

Remember this is a semi-serious GTA RP Server. It is not:

• an MMO

• a dating simulator

• VR Chat

Welcome to the Diversion RP staff team and thank you for stepping up to take on this role.

Let me be completely upfront with you - being staff isn't easy, and unfortunately, there's no paycheck waiting at the end of the week. You're volunteering your time, energy, and often your patience to help build and maintain something bigger than any one person. That kind of commitment doesn't go unnoticed, and it definitely doesn't go unappreciated.

What you're signing up for goes way beyond just moderating chat or handling tickets. You're becoming a guardian of the community's culture, a problem-solver when things get heated, and are often the face of Diversion RP when players need help or guidance. Some days you'll feel like a referee, other days like a counselor, and occasionally like you're trying to solve puzzles that don't seem to have clear answers.

The responsibility that comes with staff powers is real. Players trust you to be fair, consistent, and transparent in your decisions. They're counting on you to put the community's wellbeing ahead of personal friendships or in city grudges. That kind of integrity isn't always easy to maintain, especially when you're dealing with situations involving people you care about or when you're making unpopular but necessary decisions.

But here's what I've learned from watching great staff members over the years - the ones who succeed are the ones who remember why they signed up in the first place. They stay connected to their love for the community, they ask for help when they need it, and they understand that being staff doesn't mean being perfect. It means being willing to learn, grow, and always try to do right by the players who make this place special.
